Thank you so much for the positive reviews and 5 star rating. I often look at the comments and ratings of the app to see what needs to be worked on to make it better. I am diligently working on an update that will hopefully resolve all the issues currently noted in the comments. Please be patient though. My day job has been keeping me rather busy of late. Thank you again for the positive comments.

Comet is an app that lists all the observable comets and calculates the ephemerides for each comet. In addition the detail page has links to popular websites to get more information about that particular comet - including the JPL Solar System Dynamics site and Heavens Above.

The list of observable comets can be updated at any time (as long as there is an internet connection) from the Minor Planet Center website. Simply clicking the refresh button in the top right of the main screen will retrieve the newest observable comets list from the MPC site.

Features:
- Ability to Sort / Filter the comets
- Sort by Name, RA, Declination, Abs Magnitude, Est. Magnitude, and many more.
- Sort in Ascending or Descending order
- Filter based on RA, Declination, and Magnitude
- As you filter the table header will display the number of comets that match your criteria.
- Table displays current RA, Declination, and estimated Magnitude under the name of the comet.
- Settings View allows manual entry of GPS coordinates. You can either manually set your location or let location services do it for you.
- All settings are remembered. Enter your filter parameters once and they will be used each time the app is opened. Until you change them.
- Night mode that puts a red mask over the entire app to help preserve night vision when doing visual observing.

More to come!

In future updates I hope to add more functionality to the comet app. Some of these include:
- A visual depiction of the orbit in relation to the planets.
- A sky chart to show where to look for the comet.

I welcome any comments or suggestions for improving the comet app.

Please rate the app if you enjoy it or find it useful.
